We have fixed deletion periods. An automatic clean-up runs every night and deletes anything that's too old.
Your account and your reviews
Your account and your reviews are kept until you delete them yourself. You can delete a single review or the whole account whenever you like. Read Delete your account.
Fixed deletion periods
- Login codes: deleted after 24 hours. The code itself only works for 10 minutes.
- Login sessions: deleted 90 days after last use, or 30 days after they've expired or you've logged out.
- IP hash: 30 days.
- Your data export: the file can be downloaded for 7 days and is then deleted.
- Newsletter sign-ups that haven't been confirmed: 30 days. The confirmation link works for 7 days.
- Enquiries from contact forms and sales enquiries: 12 months.
Invitations from companies
If a company has sent you an invitation to review it, we store your email address for the invitation and any reminder. The address is removed 30 days after the invitation is sent. If the invitation is never sent, the address is removed after 30 days.
What we have to keep longer
When a moderator has made a decision about a review, we must be able to document it under the EU Digital Services Act. Decisions and appeals are therefore kept, even when you delete your account. They're then no longer linked to your name or your email.
