Add a widget to Wix

Paste the code with the Wix element for HTML code, and set the language in the code. Floating widgets stay inside the box.

There's no TrustSays app for widgets in Wix yet. You paste the code from Widget studio as HTML code.

How to do it

  1. Copy the code in Widget studio with Copy code.
  2. Open your page in the Wix editor.
  3. Choose Add, then Embed Code and Embed HTML. The names can vary a little.
  4. Choose to enter code, and paste the whole code.
  5. Drag the box to where the widget should appear, and make it big enough.
  6. Publish the page, and view it on your real address.

Good to know about Wix

Wix shows HTML code in a framed box. This means:

  • The widget can only fill the space the box gives it. If it's cut off, make the box taller or wider.
  • Floating button, Latest review and Mobile bar stay inside the box instead of sitting in the corner of the screen. It's better to choose a widget that stays in place on the page, e.g. Mini, Badge or Carousel.
  • The widget can't see the page's language. Set data-lang in the code, e.g. data-lang="en". See Insert the code.

Wix also has a setting for custom code on the whole site. Whether it can be used depends on your Wix plan. See Wix's own help.
