Add a widget to WordPress and WooCommerce

Paste the code into a Custom HTML block in WordPress, or into your page builder. No plugin is needed.

There's no TrustSays plugin for widgets yet. You paste the code from Widget studio into the page. It also works in WooCommerce shops.

In the block editor

  1. Copy the code in Widget studio with Copy code.
  2. Open the page or post in WordPress.
  3. Add the Custom HTML block where the widget should appear.
  4. Paste the whole code and choose Update or Publish.

In a page builder such as Elementor, you use its HTML element in the same way.

WooCommerce product pages

Product stars shows your overall SaysScore, not reviews of the individual product. You can put it in the product template if your theme allows blocks there.

If it doesn't work

  • The code disappears when you save: WordPress may strip scripts for users without permission to insert HTML. Ask an administrator to insert the code.
  • Cache plugins and optimisation: a plugin that combines or defers scripts can stop the widget from starting. Exclude api.trustsays.com from the optimisation, and clear the cache.
  • See The widget isn't showing.
