How to read a decision and the reason

Every decision names the rule, gives a reason and tells you who made it, and the latest date you can appeal.

  1. What the decision says
  2. Where do I find it?
  3. What can I do?

Under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), you must be given a reason when we restrict your content. That's why every decision contains the same information.

What the decision says

  • Decision: whether the review has been Held back or Removed.
  • Rule: the one of the seven rules we believe has been broken, e.g. Personal data.
  • Reason: a short explanation written for your review specifically.
  • Decided by: whether the decision was made by a member of staff or by an automatic filter.
  • Date: when the decision was made.
  • Appeal deadline: 6 months after the decision.
  • Case number: starts with TS and the year, e.g. TS-2026-482130.

Where do I find it?

  • In the email we send when the decision has been made. You can't turn that email off, because the law requires you to be notified.
  • Under My profile next to the review.
  • Under Notifications, where you can choose See the decision.

The reason is shown in your language if we have it in your language. Otherwise it's shown in English or Danish.

What can I do?

  1. Read the rule in the guidelines for reviewers.
  2. If the review has been held back, you can edit it. See Edit a review that has been held back.
  3. If you disagree, you can appeal for free. See Appeal a decision.
  4. If you still disagree after the appeal, you can go to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body. Read more in the terms.
